(Joanna asked Natalie to make up a story, and she would write it down for her. Natalie thought this was an excellent idea, and paced the dining room excitedly as she made up her story. This is what she came up with. She called it "The Girls Be Friends")

ONCE UPON a time, there was a girl named Natalie.
She was alone with nobody to play with.
So, Chrysanthemum came over to play.
But Natalie was still lonely.
So, her best friend Nicky came and Lois and Susan came over to play.
There were so many friends and Natalie wasn’t lonely any more.
But now she had friends forever so they played and played and played and they all lived happily ever after.
The end.
